If you get the dorms built in the 1970s instead of the new dorms built a few years ago, you still have to pay the same price as everyone else. I cannot believe this place is rated 4.1 stars. The walls and ceiling were falling apart and the blinds on the window were falling off and broken. My window was facing a sidewalk, so anyone walking past could see into my dorm. There is no privacy. When I was laying down on my bed, I could reach across the room and touch my roomate, that’s how small the rooms were. It should be illegal to house anyone like this. Just because we’re students doesn’t mean we should put up with homeless shelter conditions.

It's not the worst, see a hobbit run by every once and a while, but it's close to campus and has decent living conditions

Middle Earth was pretty cool, provided me a bed, bath, and 2 awesome roommates. But I was in an older building and the space they gave us for a triple bedroom was incredibly small. The workspaces were a great place to study and the towers offer some nice places to sit and study. Either by yourself or with others. RAs made the place feel safe and homey, they really created a community within the dorms.

Worse than Mesa Court but MUCH BETTER than Arroyo Vista. The things looks quite old in this community except the Towers. For the ordinary halls, the equipments and designs are obviously outdated, but the toilets and bathrooms are clean and nice. The staff here, to be frankly, are much less friendly than those in Mesa Court, but they can solve your problems as long as you call the housing office.

The rooms are somewhat poor in quality at times. However, professional services are quick to respond and very helpful. Also, pippins and brandywine are both exceedingly convenient for meals from 7 am to 12 am on most days. Weekend food is a bit inconvenient though.
