The staff at this service goes above and beyond for their patients. They were all so very nice and wonderful to me. I was leaving to go back home and they offered to do me a favor so I could get on the road 2 hours earlier, now that is exceptional patient service. I couldn’t thank them enough. If you need to go here rest assured you will be treated like you are old friends which makes you feel so much better considering why you are there to begin with!

Everyone was friendly and professional. I was a walk-in. They told me my wait time would be about 30 minutes and it was. The practice was very clean in appearance. I felt comfortable there. I walked in to get a mammogram and I thought it was only for women, but the ladies in the office and in the examine room treated me like a professional, and I felt so comfortable. It was my first time and I didn’t know what to expect but as I was getting my examination, I was very comfortable with both delays for the ultrasound and the mammogram. My first experience with DIS was before 2016. This was before Capitol Imaging Services took over this location. I didn’t have to wait an entire week in advance to schedule any sort of testing back then. It was more of a Mom and Pop sort of place and everyone was super friendly. I do understand the protocol for scheduling in advance as Capitol is trying to eliminate any discrepancies of what your insurance company will cover or not cover. Fair enough. So why the one star? When you call to schedule with them, unfortunately, you are not speaking to someone at their local office- outsourced to some call center with a strong accent. That’s one star off. Fast forward a week later to the day of the appointment- the receptionist was lukewarm at best. She was not rude, but she wasn’t exactly super nice either. That’s another star off. Fast forward to the CT scan with contrast. In my experience, technicians and Radiologists aren’t your friends from years past but they try to make light of the situation with patients in most cases. Not in my case. It was all business. Okay no worries you want me in and out. Feeling is mutual. Only one issue, my technician couldn’t get my vein. Her supervisor comes over to help fix the problem and they blew my vein in my left arm. They apologized. That’s another star. And I’m starting to grow a bit more impatient. So, I reluctantly offered my right arm. Yay! Halfway through the imaging process a gush of blood and contrast spews out from my IV like a busted fire hydrant. I kid you not, if it weren’t for the pink tinge of the contrast mixed with my blood- the CT machine would have looked like a mini crime scene. It was so ridiculous that I had to laugh. They stopped the process to wipe some of the mess. But I later learned that the hair on my head and my undershirt was covered in this pink tinge. No apologies. That’s another star. So we proceeded with the last part of the CT scan and I’m just dying with amusement because you go in and out of it. But here’s the thing, the opening of the CT machine was still dripping with my blood. When the scanning was finished, I felt a little rushed as they had another patient waiting to come in for their next appointment. I was told to change back into my street clothes and exit out of the left door but I thought I had more time and I wasn’t feeling my best. With a lack of H20 from the 2 hour before fasting, getting poked a few times, a busted vein in the left arm- I wasn’t exactly thinking straight. I accidentally left my phone and wallet on the chair outside of the changing room as I was changing. The senior technician, supervisor, or whatever she is apologizes to the next patient and told them that the previous “guy for some reason left his stuff on the chair.” She tells them that they have to wait a minute because this guy left his stuff. Hey lady, no need to be rude- I can hear you perfectly clear from the bathroom door. After I’m decent, which took me less than a minute to get dressed, I retrieved my belongings and I said take it easy- I’m still a little loopy. Crickets. That’s another star. So why the one star? Because I can’t publish this review without adding one star back. ;). This place has received stellar reviews as of late and my experience may have just been an isolated incident. But they texted me to leave a review so there it is. Perhaps your experience will be more elevating than mine.

The service was great. I didn’t have to wait long which is a plus. The staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable in the room to get my MRI
