This is an update. I’ve been seeing Dr. Villanueva for several years now. When I changed health plans she was able to give me some useful info about the service that my health plan used. She made the process as effortless as possible. She’s patient and also gave me a very honest assessment of the pros and cons associated with different hearing aid options.

I’ve been wearing hearing aids for awhile so I’ve seen quite a few audiologists, usually depending on who my health plan deemed in network. I recently was directed to Clare and I’ve found her to be terrific.

She takes the time to understand your hearing loss. She deals with a wide variety of manufacturers and offers the best solution which is not always the most expensive one. Along with her associate Elijah, I can always get answers to my questions and get my problems solved. I recently had some difficulty with an aid one evening and contacted her the next day. Instead of having me wait until the following week she managed to squeeze me in to her very tight schedule that day. I wish all my experiences with audiologists had been as productive as it’s been with her.

She is always available for her patient's and makes it very easy to get in touch with her whether via text, phone, or email. I was recommended to Dr. Clare for a screening for hearing aids. Her hearing test was extremely comprehensive (I have had others that were not so thorough) and determined that I did indeed need hearing aids. She took the time to discuss the different types and went out of her way to find something that would be suitable and comfortable for me. When the hearing aids were ready to be picked up, I was out of the city and unable to return for a couple of months. She was perfectly patient and willing to wait. On my return I picked up my hearing aids and she talked me through what I had to know about their care, how to insert them, etc. A week later I had a little problem with the fit. I e-mailed her and she made time for me to come in and see her the very next day. She saw me first thing, diagnosed the problem, and resolved it. Very pleasant, truly knowledgeable, and it is easy to see she loves being an audiologist.

Dr. Villanueva has provided care for two of my aunts for years. During this time, she has proved herself to be a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and excellent audiologist. She listens to her patient's needs and concerns and addresses them directly. Each patient is treated as an individual and not just another appointment in a book. In addition, Dr. Villanueva has provided home visits when my aunts could not arrange transportation to her office. She has provided them with her personal phone number and has told them they can contact her whenever need be. She has personally responded to the concerns of one of my aunts on numerous occasions that fell well after office hours and on weekends. Dr. Villanueva is a consummate professional while still making her patients feel like they one of her family members. I, and both my aunts, highly recommend Dr. Clare Villanueva as an audiologist.
